Gabe decides to confront Sam the lawyer way. He tries to bluff to Sam to
make him think he already has a case against him and tries to get Sam to plea
out in return for helping to bring his son’s killers to justice. But Sam has an
ace under his sleeve: he turns around by telling him that he has already
captured a new beast candidate since he’d injected the poor bastard with beast
serum and had chained him up at home.
They’d better let him go before Xavier dies of thirst. Gabe claims he’s
bluffing, but Vincent senses that Sam is telling the truth.
GABE: “Guess try to bluff Sam into
thinking I do have a case. See if I can salvage this mess.”
Catherine does not like the way Gabe is treating Vincent, but doesn’t feel
like she could step in and defend Vincent because she’s pretending “to be with
Gabe”. I’m glad JT was there to stick up for his buddy. Moreover, Catherine saw
that Vincent still beasted out, it’s still a risk about him and she convinced
herself, or let Gabe convince her, that Vincent is mainly Beast. She isn’t
thinking with her heart when it comes to Gabe. She is thinking about ‘being
with the right person’…. But sometimes the mind and the heart have two
Then Sam starts mocking Vincent for being a “pathetic
beast who is desperately trying to get his girl back”. This finally sends
Vincent over the edge and he beasts out on Sam.Vincent has Sam in a
stranglehold just as Gabe and Catherine arrive. Now, that was unfortunate. I
noticed that in this scene, JT fails to calm Vincent down, but as soon as
Catherine calls out his name, Vincent changes out of beastie mode in about a
Vincent and JT prematurely imprison Sam and locks
him up in the beast cage in the tunnels without any real evidence to hold him
there. Sam reminds them that he is trying to avenge his son [still not clear
from whom] and tells Vincent that he’s
partially responsible for Tory’s death.
At the end of their conversation, Gabe gives Cat a
key to his loft. Cat’s clearly stunned. She is still determined to show Gabe
that she has chosen him, even we can detect a hint of panic in her eyes when
Gabe offers her the key to his apartment.
When Cat, after coffee, returns to Gabe’s, Gabe shares
that his research into Sam continues to show just how slippery Sam is. Although
Gabe has no evidence on Sam to support a murder charge, he feels certain that
he can make a case for identity theft: they can’t exactly charge him with
“conspiracy to create beasts”! Once Sam’s in the slammer, Gabe can spend the
rest of Sam’s prison sentence building a case against him for murder. It is
actually a decent plan. Cat mentions that catching Sam will be a way to start
their beast-free life.
